Just as of Humans to seek not power over others and nature but power over themselves in collaboration with nature.

Kleopatra Alamantariotou studied the art of Midwifery in Athens Greece. She received a Master degree in CITY University London in health informatics in 2008. She received another MSc degree from Middlesex University London in Midwifery in 2007. Kleopatra Alamantariotou is Founder and CEO of Biomimicry Greece Research and Innovation Center, and active affiliate member in 22 countries in Singularity University.

She is a member of the National Management Committee of European programs (COST EU Brussels European Cooperation in Science and Technology) for more than 8 years, and has won many scholarships and prizes.( HULT prize Greece 2nd winner 2015, Ecopolis prize 2017, etc). Kleopatra Alamantariotou participates in educational programmes at Bocconi University Milan Italy, Trinity College Dublin, Massachusetts Institute of Technology MIT, John Hopkins Bloomberg School of

MGG. She was a chief executive of health Innovation and quality improvement of Larisa University Hospital and she worked as health professional in Chelsea Westminister Hospital London, also in American Hospital in Dubai. Since 2016 she has been a global leader of NASA space in collaboration Open NASA innovation center. In 2017 the European Space agency has accepted her for training in space. Αlso she was a co founder of Greek New Space Society. In 2021 create Biomimicry for Humanity a movement for a better world .  

Lydia is an Architect and Wellness Coach, with a focus on the relation of buildings on health and well-being. She holds a Ph.D in Physiology on the subject of the effect on geophysical anomalies on biology and has published in peer-review journals and conferences, as well as an MSc in Sustainable Environmental Design.

Despina Kenteroglou holds an Integrated Master of Science (MSc) and Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) from the Department of Product and Systems Design Engineering, University of the Aegean, Greece. She is currently a MSc student in Ecology and Conservation of Biodiversity at the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Despina is the co-founder of Green Creators, an Athens & Lisbon based multidisciplinary experimental practice whose focus is the integration of new technologies in the service of natural materials and processes towards a resiliently designed society. She joined the world of biomimicry in 2017 and since then, she is trying to make the philosophy of nature-based solutions a core principle of her own work.

Arturo is an Architect, Engineer, Psychologist and expert in Sacred Geometry, which he has been teaching for 20 years and applying to architectural design in all scale projects.

Eirini is an award-winning industry professional with extensive technical experience in sustainability. She has successfully managed numerous projects with diverse teams in several sectors around the globe. Her world-class expertise, from developing suitable sustainability strategies, to incorporating these strategies into projects and achieving target results, was a catalyst for her winning the UK Building Magazine’s award as one of the ‘Top 50 Sustainability Stars 2015’

Several of Eirini’s completed projects are internationally renowned for their leap in sustainability and environmental design. These projects include flagship developments such as the Olympic 2012 and Legacy Facilities in London, KAIA Airport in Jeddah, the impressive new Cultural Centre in Athens (first LEED Platinum in Greece), the Mobility Pavilion and the Metro Extension in Dubai, to name a few
Eirini’s blend of industry knowledge and global professional experience adds value to any project.

In particular, she offers:
• Expertise as a Chartered Architect, able to liaise with design teams on the benefits of sustainable design
• A thorough understanding of the investment / business case opportunity surrounding sustainability
• An understanding of the breadth of sustainability by employing her expertise from a wide range of projects globally
• Strong relationships with academia; UCL University in London, and Heriot Watt University in Dubai 

Lina Nikopoulpou, Managing Director MINDVIEW, Entrepreneur, Biologist with a Ph.D. in Physiology from Oxford University; expert in medical and scientific communication strategy and multidisciplinary team building; 6 years’ experience in academic research & 30 years in business: Pharma, health services, ICT technologies, scientific publications, events & conferences, market research & communication strategy in a B2B setting, always focused on health. She has a long record of successful innovative initiatives and company building.

 

Ourania Koukoura was born on 1971 in Athens. She is currently working as a consultant in Obstetrics
and Gynaecology in the University Hospital of Larissa, Thessaly, Greece.
She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens. She specialised in Obstetrics and Gyneacology at the University Hospital of Heraklion, Crete, Greece. After completing her speciality training she worked for 1,5 years in the United Kingdom (University Hospital of Wales, Benenden Hospital, Kent, UK)
She presents her PhD Thesis on 2011 which was a collaborating project between the University of Crete and the University College of London. The project was investigating the placental epigenetic alterations in pregnancies complicated by intrauterine fetal growth restriction.

Her main research interest is the investigation of the epigenetic mechanism (mainly DNA methylation) involved in fetal growth and tumorgenesis. She has published 25 articles in peer-rviewed journals and has been awarded with 6 awards-funds for projects which she participated as coordinator or part of the research team. She is currently working in collaboration with the University of Liverpool, Department of Molecular and Clinical Cancer Medicine, United Kingdom investigating the possible detection of epigenetic modifications in embryos.
She is one of the founding members of BIOMIMICRY GREECE Research and Innovation with special interest the application of biomimicry on medicine.

The terms «biomimetics and biomimicry derive from Ancient Greek : βίος (bios), life, and μίμησις (mīmēsis), imitation, from μιμεῖσθαι (mīmeisthai), to imitate, from μῖμος (mimos), actor. 

The center is trying to unlock the mysteries of life and present the creative silence of nature through art, science, technology and innovation.
